Get ready, on May 23rd and 24th Cambrils becomes the epicenter of cycling with a new edition of Cambribike!

If you’re passionate about two wheels, we have a double date you can’t miss.

This year we have set ourselves an ambitious challenge: we want our road ride to be the real “engine” of the event, aiming to bring together between 500 and 700 cyclists .

It’s a significant leap forward compared to previous years, and we want you to be part of that group!

The action kicks off on Saturday the 23rd with Cambrils BTT Orígenes

It’s an event designed for everyone , from those who go for a family stroll to those looking to push themselves to the limit.

The best part is that you’re in charge: there are four distances divided into two blocks, and you can decide which one to do on the fly depending on how strong you feel.

For those looking for something relaxed, we have the short distances of 22 km (100 m+) and 35 km (250 m+).

These are easy, enjoyable, and flat routes around Cambrils and the Costa Daurada, ideal for amateurs or for enjoying with the little ones.

If you already have tough legs, the long distances of 47 km (750m+) and 55 km (950m+) await you .

Things get serious here with more technical trails through the Barony of Escornalbou and the Sierra del Pradell.

And be warned, because although it’s not a total race, there’s some spice!

We have prepared two time trials with prizes for the three best (men and women) in each modality: MTB, E-bike and Gravel.

The 47km route has a timed section of 2.5km, and the 55km route adds a second timed section of 2km.

To recover our strength, in addition to the refreshments along the route, a gourmet fideuà of epic proportions awaits us all at the finish line.

On Sunday the 24th we switched gears and went from knobby tires to asphalt with the Bioracer Cambrils Road

It’s our big cycling tourism bet , a ride controlled by volunteers and Mossos d’Esquadra so that you only have to worry about pedaling and enjoying the Priorat landscape.

You have two options: an 85km route with three manageable climbs, or the 125km challenge that adds an extra loop and six mountain passes.

If you choose the long route, you will face the famous “No llores niño” climb: 11 km uphill (530m+) with final ramps of 18% that will test you.

To make the experience truly exceptional, this event includes physiotherapy services, photographers, chip timing, and the official event jersey designed by Bioracer, a leading brand in the sector.

We want you to feel like a professional surrounded by nature, tranquility and the best cycling environment.

Whether it’s the trails on Saturday or the mountain passes on Sunday, Cambrils awaits you with open arms and your bike ready.

See you at the exit!

  • Time has established Cambrils as a benchmark destination for cycling enthusiasts thanks to a privileged combination of geographical and climatic factors that allow the sport to be enjoyed all year round.

Located in the heart of the Costa Dorada, the town offers an exceptional setting where the sea and the mountains blend together just a few kilometers away , allowing routes that run through flat landscapes and challenging ascents towards the inland mountain ranges.

This is how the Cambrils BTT Orígens is created

This duality is perfectly reflected in the proposal of Cambrils BTT Orígens, a name that seeks to reclaim the rural roots of the municipality and its surroundings of agriculture and paths with history .

“A name that highlights what Cambrils is, that environment of farmers, vineyards and olive groves, a reminder of our authenticity,” says Joan Carbonell, head of Naturetime Events, the organizer of the outing.

The terrain of the area allows for routes to be offered for all profiles , from families to more expert cyclists looking for maximum performance.

There are four versions: The 22 and 35 kilometer circuits are designed for those who want a more accessible experience; the first with a distinctly family-friendly character and the second extending to Vilanova d’Escornalbou to offer a longer route without excessive technical demands.

For the more adventurous, the 47 and 55 kilometer distances delve into the elevation changes of the Llaberia mountain range and the foothills of the Baix Camp, introducing time trials as a differentiating element.

These individually timed sections allow riders to compete against the clock on specific uphill sections, with prizes awarded for manual, electric and gravel mountain bikes.

“You can do it at your own pace or compete,” Joan points out.

The road version: Bioracer Cambrils Road

As for road cycling, the Bioracer Cambrils Road offers an immersion in the Priorat landscape through routes of 85 and 125 kilometers.

“The two routes through Baix Camp and Priorat Sur combine low-traffic roads with great scenery and a bit of a challenge on some climbs,” Joan tells us.

These routes stand out for passing through very quiet roads and an environment of great visual beauty that includes the passage through Escaladei and La Morera de Montsant .

The star challenge for long-distance cyclists is the climb to No Plores Nen, an emblematic sector that defines the toughness and appeal of this area from Torroja de Priorat to La Morera.

The entire route is conducted under a philosophy of calm and safe walking, with a safety capsule from the Servei Català de Trànsit , avoiding large crowds to guarantee a close and quality experience for each participant.

Cycling event with a “seaside flavor”

The Cambrils experience would not be complete without mentioning its gastronomic excellence, which becomes the best reward after the physical effort.

The event is defined as a ride with a taste of the sea, since upon reaching the finish line, cyclists can enjoy a typical dish from the local cuisine, such as noodles rossejats or fideuá, allowing them to taste the culinary essence of the place .

This combination of challenging routes, authentic agricultural landscapes and a top-notch cultural and gastronomic offering comes together, remember, in the Cambribike area.

  • Welcome to two-wheeled paradise! In one month, CambriBike arrives; it’s not just a sporting event, it’s the biggest cycling festival in Cambrils, transforming this Costa Daurada town into the epicenter of cycling passion.

With an inclusive and vibrant approach, the event unfolds a range of activities that embrace everything from the most demanding professionalism to the excitement of the little ones.

The adventure usually starts with the adrenaline of the Cambrils BTT Orígens .

Participants can choose from several routes (from 22 to 55 km) that wind through the inland landscapes, offering everything from relaxed walks to technical challenges with timed climbs for the most competitive.

But the diversity doesn’t stop there: the Gravel modality has gained a golden weight, allowing cyclists to explore mixed roads with that unique blend of speed and adventure.

For road cycling enthusiasts, the Bioracer Cambrils Road is the main event . This long-distance cycling tour challenges even the bravest riders with iconic mountain passes and spectacular views of the Mediterranean. It’s a moment where personal achievement and camaraderie come together under the finish line arch, always capped off with a hearty fideuà (a traditional paella) to recover energy.

However, the heart of CambriBike beats especially strong in Pinaret Park, transformed into a vibrant “Bike Expo.” Here, families take center stage. Children enjoy the Kids Cup, obstacle courses with ramps and skills challenges, and road safety workshops designed to train the cyclists of the future. There are also Bike Trial shows, where experts defy gravity, and Indoor Cycling sessions led by figures like Melcior Mauri, who energize everyone with music and stationary pedaling.

The perfect finale is the Bike Festival, a popular urban bike ride where costumes and classic bicycles fill the streets with joy. In short, CambriBike is a fluid and dynamic event that demonstrates that cycling is much more than a sport: it’s a lifestyle that unites generations, promotes sustainable tourism, and, above all, invites us to enjoy the outdoors with a smile. Let’s ride!
